The trail switchbacks up the side of the ridge giving increasingly nicer views. 

At the ridge top you can go left where the trail follows the ridge for a considerable distance.  We went right, a short distance to the end of a trail with views of Leavenworth. 

After lunch we headed down with the plan to go to Icicle Gorge next.
