Friday, July 13: Grand Canyon
Not the best weather
We were beat from having gotten up so early on Thu, so we slept in a bit. Then we had breakfast and went into the park.
We drove down the west side road, stopping and taking pictures at view points. Due to the high clouds and flat lighting, the pictures weren’t the best. We could see thunderstorms over the canyon, but they missed us.

We had dinner at the “food court” in Grand Canyon Village, and while we were there, it poured out. The lighting wasn’t good, and Mike really wanted to visit this airplane museum about 20 miles outside of the park, so we drove there and visited. We then wanted to see the IMAX movie about the park, but Mike didn’t want to. So he stayed in the hotel while Amy and I saw the movie.
