On the hike up, there is a prominent peak to the northeast.  It seemed too close and not snowy enough to be Three Fingers, but indeed it was Three Fingers, though not from the viewing angle I usually see it. 

The day was warm but not oppressively hot.  I brought 2 water bottles which were barely enough.  Three might have been better (or at least a third one to leave in the car). 

I spent about an hour at the lookout eating lunch, enjoying the views and taking pictures, and hanging out with my friends. 

On the way back down I used poles which I found helped.  The trail is a bit rough, particularly the top half with lots of rocks and stepping up/down, and the poles helped especially on the step downs.
