Going Somewhere Warm in December
We wanted to do a last post-Covid trip for the year, and this ended up being sort of a Christmas present to ourselves. We were originally thinking about going to Patagonia, but we decided that we wanted to go somewhere warm.
This was a new experience for us: a private guided trip. That is, we would have our own guide/driver, and the trip was organized through a company (Boundless Journeys), but unlike the Danube cruise, it would just be the guide and the three of us.
Amy had been on a birding trip to Costa Rica about 15 years ago, but it was the first time for the rest of us.
