Cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest, 2024
The Other Half of Our First Cruise
This was our third Viking river cruise. It went from Amsterdam to Budapest, and it was the "second half" of our first cruise, which went from Bucharest to Budapest.
We got it on sale, so our choice of dates was somewhat limited. We went basically at the start of October. It was later than I would have prefered, but I hoped that the weather would be comparable to sunny fall days in New England. Unfortunately, we got the apparently typical rainy/drizzly fall European weather.
To some extent, this trip overlapped our Christmas Market cruise (i.e. we visited some of the same cities), but it was a very different tour in October, with no Christmas Markets.
