A family trip to Iceland, hoping to see an Aurora Borealis
We had never seen an Aurora before, and we figured that the best place to see one would be Iceland in the winter. Of course while we were there, we would play tourist and see what was there.
We got an organized “self-guided” tour. What this meant was that the package included a rental car, a GPS, a map, and lodging at various places around Iceland. At each location, it was up to us to figure out what to see and do.
One thing that we didn't count on was the weather.
