A three-night hike in the White Mountains
I've been toying with the idea of doing a hike through the middle of the White Mountains (via three different AMC Huts) for over a decade. Finally, I decided that if I ever wanted to do it, I should stop thinking about it and actually do it. This was the result.
It turns out that the middle hut is not in the middle of the White Mountains, but rather also a couple of hour hike in from a road. It also turns out that what I thought would be a high exposed ridge line (I was thinking of the shoulders of Mount Washington) was not at all like that.
I'm glad I did it, but I wouldn't do it again.
