Exploring Christmas Markets
We wantd to take another Viking river cruise, and to be different, we decided to take one to see Europe's Christmas Markets. This would start in Paris, end in Prague, with the cruise portion in Germany. As with the Danube cruise, Sam elected to stay home.
The weather was not very cooperative. I was picturing sort of a European Currier and Ives trip, with fluffy white snow decorating the half-timbered buildings.
Instead, we got dull gray skies and off-and-on rain. I don't know if this is another consequence of climate change, or if this area never usually had a white Christmas.
